The Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to participate in the Schoharie County Family Fun Fest. The event will be held on Friday, August 18 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Gobblers Knob Family Fun Park in Cobleskill. This is a county-wide community event featuring live entertainment, a silent auction and activities for all ages including mini golf and a bounce house. We anticipate a successful event with good attendance!

 

We are extending this invitation to vendors around Schoharie County. Space for this year’s Family Fun Fest will be limited, so please return your contract as soon as possible. Haudenosaunee Singers & Dancers

We are so excited to have the Haudenosaunee Singers and Dancers with us at the Iroquois Indian Museum on August 19th! Led by Sherri Waterman-Hopper, a member of the Beaver Clan of the Onondaga Nation, the Haudenosaunee Singers and Dancers have been performing together for over 20 years. This talented group travels across the country performing social dances at museums, universities, and cultural events. Social dances unite community members and new friends through joy, laughter, and the age-old cadence of drum and rattle - everyone is invited to participate!

Landis Arboretum 5K Forest Run

Experience this amazing 5K trail run through Lanis Arboretum. If you have never run a trail run this one will get you hooked. It has typically been a small event with fewer than 100 entrants. The cooler country setting will make you think twice about running the hot roads in August.

The 5K run takes you on a tour of our over 300 acre public Garden. The majority of the race is set among the Arboretums many trails, ranging from woodlands to fields with rolling hills. Your registration helps Landis maintain the arboretum!
