On June 8th and 10th The Schoharie County Historical society will be celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the first free outdoor movie.  We will be recreating a screening of an original movie starring Ethel Barrymore.

The Schoharie Promotional Association is working with the Schoharie County Historical Society to make this a community wide celebration with a car show of vintage vehicles, antique radio exhibit, garden club flower and historic displays, outdoor movies, vendors and more.  We are looking to fill our village with hundreds maybe even thousands of people.

If you would like to be a part of this nostalgic time in some way please contact us.  It might be a display, decorating windows, offering specials, doing a raffle or anything that you might like to do. We would like to include you in our planning process.

Please think about how you might participate in this celebration to make it a successful community event.

More information to follow as details are finalized.
