Birding for Beginners

Chris Keefer, author of the Schenectady Daily Gazette’s weekly birding column for over 20 years, will lead a discussion about the basics of birding, an international hobby everyone can enjoy. We’ll look at some of the key elements of identifying birds using their colors, shapes, songs and calls, postures, and habitats as clues. Then we’ll head outside to put our new skills to the test. Bring your own binoculars or borrow some from the library.
