Sharon Historcial Society

The purpose of the Sharon Historical Society NY is the formation of a group of individuals who have an interest in the history of the area, and who wish to attain the following results by their mutual activities:

1. To exchange historical information and thereby enhance the historical knowledge of each other and the group.

2. To discover, collect, and preserve (whenever possible) original records, manuscripts, and diaries, letters, photographs, and other material that will help us record, and be informed of the historical past. This is to be done in conjunction with the Sharon Historical Society Museum.

3. To promote the history of the area for public dissemination and to encourage an interest in its historical past.

4. To hold meetings on various historical matters and subjects.
