This concert is the culmination of a weeklong workshop, The Caribbean in Music & Dance, introducing students to the music and techniques of Caribbean Music. 

as well as teaching typical dances such as the samba and mambo.

There will be student displays of research completed on various nations of the Caribbean and following Friday’s concert will be a potluck of traditional Caribbean dishes.

Performances have an admission fee of $5.00.

The Summer Youth Band Camp at Depot Lane is made possible with public funds from the Decentralization Program of the NYS Council on the Arts, administered in Greene County by the Greene County Council on the Arts through the Community Arts Grants Fund, and with private donations. Parents should register students to reserve a space in the program. Workshops at Depot Lane Theater are free of charge.
